What to dress a newborn baby in for the first portrait session can be a little overwhelming for a new mother. It is different than any other portrait your baby will have because you are capturing the newness of life. Normally this session takes place within the first two weeks of your baby’s life.
A newborn baby is usually photographed naked or in a colorful wrap or blanket. Accessories such as hats or headbands are fun ways of adding color to the image. There are also some cute props like baskets, tubs or a carriage to make the image a memorable one. If mom or dad is going to be holding the baby in the photos then a solid black or colored top with jeans or comfortable pants that are free of wrinkles is a relaxing way to dress for the session. Some items to bring with you for the baby are a favorite blanket, diapers, wipes and burp cloths and a special toy like a stuffed animal. These easy tips will make your photo session be fun and less stressful!

Welcome to an exciting 2015!
Our blog is taking on a new look and direction. Family is life’s greatest blessing. We want you to feel at home when you come to our studio with your little one for your baby portrait session. As this year unfolds we will share with you what happens behinds the scenes at Ever After Baby Portraits. Each member of our family plays an important role in our business, including our favorite two mascots, Monster and Rajah the adorable and mischievous cats who love to be in the middle of everything.
And we do have some surprises coming!!!!! Here is a hint or two –new and colorful props and costumes that are so cute you will not be able to decide which ones to use. My husband, David has been a busy bee the past few months renovating our studio with new backdrops and flooring.
