An Ashburn Village, VA area client recently asked us, as their newborn photographer, how they could use their newborn portraits to announce the birth of their baby. Interestingly, birth announcements looked quite different just a generation ago! To announce a baby’s arrival, families (especially well-to-do families) would post an announcement in their local newspaper. That tradition has, for the most part, given way to customized cards.
